Celebrity Comedian Ali baba speaks on a topic that concerns every musical/movie artist....the biting fact that despite the ever growing population in Nigeria, artist cannot successfully pride themselves in the sales of their works.
He wrote:
"Isn't it amazing that in a country
of over 200 million people, it's is hard if not impossible to have a
tiny fraction of 2 million music enthusiasts and lovers can't buy or be
seen to have bought creative works by artistes...
What could the problem
really be? Is it the administration of policies? Lack of enabling laws?
Failure to punish piracy offenders? Failure in citizen education?
Quality of creative works? Absence of platforms? Loss of values?
Economic downturn? Mediocrity and its consequences? Failure of
government to see the economic value proposition of the sector?... What
is it really?"
