“Do you have an anchor? I have found that a solid anchor is
indispensable to one who intends to live life fully. To have an anchor
is to be centered and well grounded. It is to have a vital spiritual
base.”

Some years ago, one of my brothers told me his experience while spending the night at his friends place and it just stock with me, he said they went out had drinks and just generally enjoyed themselves, talked about business, politics and of course girls but my brother kept asking him how come you are so successful in business and practically anything you set your heart to do, abi you dey rub something somewhere "laughing" his friend replied "No worry guy you go soon know" . That night he kept hearing some funny noises coming from his friends room, he decided to take a peep through the door knob to see what exactly was going on and whole and behold, his friend was.......PRAYING and this went on for almost 3hrs Wow!!! Shock is not even enough to comprehend what he felt, ehhh!! So this guy can even pray, talk more of praying that long, rolling on the floor, sweating ah!!! And then when its morning he dresses up, smelling nice, stepping into his nice car and you are biting your lips saying...Chei!! see fine boy!!!
Most of us are very quick to "tap into peoples testimonies" "claim their blessings" etc But can we put in the work? Can we make the sacrifice that is required to pave way spiritually? How often do we feed our soul? Do not be deceived, every man has a baseline from which their life draws its nutrients and upon which they ANCHOR!
Here is my take you cannot be in the middle, its either you are on the side of God or on the other side, that's a personal choice to make. Life is more spiritual than we can even begin to comprehend but most times we just think..oh!! well that was meant to happen. We should be more conscious of who we are pouring our libations to without even knowing. You cannot just sail through life thinking i can do this myself, i achieved this myself, if i didn't do this..that wouldn't have happened!! Charlie, calm down and stop hyping yourself, the grace of God is upon your life and if you continue in sin thinking NOTHING DO ME!! you will be shocked.
The need for PRAYERS and a personal relationship with God cannot be overemphasized because people have different levels of grace and favor upon their lives, some do not have to put in so much work and everything just falls into place for them. While, others have to go the extra mile and prevail in the place of prayers before they BREAKTHROUGH. So comparing lives and achievements is not a great idea, so also is trying exactly what x did because it worked for them and then been frustrated when it didn't work for you.
Take their ideas but have a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP with Christ, so he can give you a personalized blue print for your life, one that suits you and works excellently for you.
STAY BLESSED!!
