MY SUCCESSES PART 3 (MRS SERIES )
Well, your guess is as good as mine making all these CHANGES brought with it lots of BACKLASH!! People just spitting VENOM at me....
-SO SHE THINKS SHE IS BETTER THAN US ABI?
-WELL @ THIS RATE YOU MAY JUST DIE SINGLE
-SEE, BABE IF YOU CONTINUE BEEN THIS RIGID, NO MAN WILL MARRY YOU OH!
-WHY ARE YOU SO DAMN SELECTIVE
-WHAT IF AFTER WAITING TO MARRY MR PERFECT, YOU END UP NOT HAVING KIDS IMMEDIATELY?
It got so bad that at a point, i started second guessing myself "was i really doing the right thing" "was it even worth it" . But i was DETERMINED to SERVE GOD and LIVE RIGHT and nobody was gonna to TALK ME OUT of my NEW FOUND LIFE.....
When the opportunity came for me to relocate, i held back for over a year because i was scared of the UNKNOWN and most importantly, i didn't just want to up and leave. So after various consultations and not to sound TOO SPIRITUAL much prayers i had peace, so i packed up my essentials and LEFT NAIJA.
So after i landed, i located a young, friendly and most importantly MIXED church. One were i could easily integrate myself, worship without feeling out of place of course MEET PEOPLE!! Yes oh lets not forget that this sister is still SINGLE. Friends taught i was CRAZY spending all my free time in church and not HANGING OUT WITH THEM don't get me wrong am not against those who do but at that pint in my life, it wasn't my PRIORITY.
Then sometimes in may this guy starts messaging me and even after i ignored him, he goes on and on. The whole thing started to irritate me because i just got here and am not ready to be hunted by a serial killer😄😄 but after we got talking, i wasn't afraid to....
1. Take my time in replying his numerous calls.
2. Listen more and allow him do most of the talking, while i payed attention to his BODY LANGUAGE and THOUGHT PATTERNS.
3. Ask direct questions without feeling like i was DESPERATE.
4. Pay very close attention to his love and desire for God without rubbing my beliefs in his face.
5. Opened up and state exactly what i would and would not be comfortable with in OUR RELATIONSHIP.
6.Told him EXACTLY what he had to do if truly he wanted to MARRY ME.
7. Open him up to the scrutiny of MY FAMILY and NOT FRIENDS because some friends might not have the PUREST INTENTIONS.
8. Insist that he gets approval from my family before i gave him my final answer. Told him he would have to go Africa to see my parents because i had no roots here (Told him that to see what his response would be and if he was willing to go all the way. He was lucky my parents came to visit)
And like they say, the rest is HISTORY.
I hope this really blesses some one and encourages them to stay true to their walk with God while they wait for the MISSING RIB!
