This harrowing footage captured the moment an innocent little girl lost six of her fingers after getting two hands stuck in an escalator.
The one-year-old was carried down the moving staircase as the footage begins, but she can then be seen toddling back.
Her grandfather, seemingly unaware of the danger, watched as she started walking up the stairs.
But seconds later she falls down, using her hands to soften her fall.
The child's digits then gets sucked into the mechanism, before her relative races to pull her free.

She was taken to hospital immediately as rescuers spent over an hour to dismantle the escalator and retrieve the severed fingers.
